Why Boudoir is for every woman
As a boudoir photographer I hear women speak down about themselves pretty regularly, actually that's usually how every initial contact goes. I'm too old, I don't look like I used to, I don't know how to pose, I don't know what to wear, I need to drop a few lbs, I never wear makeup... these are just a few things commonly said. I'm here to tell you WHY boudoir is for every woman. Are you ready?
If you find a true boudoir photographer: one who specializes in not only the ability to take a quality photograph but one that makes an experience out of the session, they will remove all doubt from your mind and create an incredible, positive, and self loving environment for you. You will prance out of that session feeling like a supermodel, as you should! Boudoir is not just about taking pretty pictures in your panties, it's a journey you have chosen to take for yourself by yourself... we are simply mediators in the journey to make sure it all goes as planned. The truth is: you have EVERY - SINGLE - INGREDIENT needed to love yourself, to appreciate who you are, to feel beautiful and to be confident. Our mission & passion is to push you to find that side of yourself.
So, let's address some of the common misconceptions of boudoir (at least for our studio in Gainesville Georgia):
- "I'm too old." WRONG! Majority of our clients are 35+, with a large number being in their 50's. Celebrate your life, it's never too late!
- "I don't look like I used to." Fair enough, but if you wait 10 more years then you could use the same excuse and I bet you'll kick yourself in the butt for not doing it. Every woman has a story, you're the only one that knows every page.
- "I don't know how to pose." Well, that's okay! We literally pose you from head to toe, you will never question how it looks because we tell you and SHOW you throughout the session! We ALL think we aren't photogenic... but that's where being a boudoir pro comes in... you WILL be posing and photographing like a Victorias Secret angel before we're done with ya!
- "I don't know what to wear." Girlfriend, I get it. Lingerie is somewhat intimidating for most women. Most of our clients don't own any lingerie. Hell, it used to intimidate me too! Once you book your session you'll get an entire guide on how to prepare for the shoot, including a wardrobe planner and even where to shop. You will NOT be lost. Oh, and the cherry on top? We have over 100 lingerie pieces from Xsmall to 4XL in the studio for ya'll to use. BOOM!
- "I need to drop a few lbs." I promise you that regardless of if you are +/- 10 lbs, it will not make a difference. We pose each and every client according to their body type and what their needs/wants are from the session. No more excuses!
- "I never wear make up." That makes this even more exciting!! Our lead stylist, Staci, will give you the ultimate bombshell transformation and leave you speechless. Hair & makeup comes with every session, not because you need it.. but because it's all part of the experience and pampering!
- "I feel bad spending money on myself." Why? Women put their families first, this is true. But, how much of a better spouse and/or mother would you be if you had confidence and appreciation for YOURSELF? I will put money on it because I know the answer... your happiness rubs off on those closest to you. You deserve to be pampered, to feel confident, to enjoy a girls day in the studio!

I had proof I am beautiful | Client Review
All women deserve to feel beautiful. Somewhere in life we loose who we are, what makes US feel good, what WE need to be fulfilled. Our spouse, children, careers, house duties... all take prescience over our womanly desires. Miss H booked her boudoir session after her husband of 20 years passed away, she wanted to start her life over and feel good about herself. Here's what she had to say about the experience:

West Palm Beach Boudoir | Destination Boudoir Photography
Lets face it, I'm a gemini and I'm all about change. If you follow our Instagram or Facebook pages you'll see I am constantly rearranging furniture, buying new furniture, selling pieces, adding new textures... like ALL THE TIME to the point where my man is telling me to just enjoy what I have here already LOL. A few months ago Staci and I were chatting about a destination shoot and while West Palm Beach isn't exactly a "destination" location, it is gorgeous and after TWO snow storms in Atlanta (yes, it happened... twice) this winter we are all about embracing the humidity and sweat factor of South Florida. So, West Palm Beach Boudoir here we come!
March 22-30th we will be visiting and offering sessions. We have a beautiful (completely charming) location picked out in West Palm Beach near Flagler DR and already have 75% of our dates booked! WOAH! We have TWO HUGE savings packages being offered for this trip only. Check it:

"Dang is that me?!" | Client Interview
Yes girl, yasssssss! It's YOU! I'm obsessed with this babes newfound confidence and her client interview... she completely embraced the session in all of her glory and looks S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G in ALL of her photos. Here's what she had to say about it:
"I chose Mirrored Images Boudoir because of the awesome photos! She is such a talented photographer. I also read the posts on her site and felt like she truly does do her best to make her clients feel beautiful and confident. I wanted to do it for such a long time. I wanted to do one before I got married but never got around to it. I did it for both myself and my husband, but really for me. You have to love yourself in order to love others! I was so nervous. Especially being half naked in front of a stranger lol. But Jenn really makes you feel good about yourself and tells you exactly what to do to make you look super sexy! Her telling me how to pose and guiding me on what to do really helped ease my nerves. I am in love with basically every single photo she took, and there was a lot! I had such a hard time choosing which ones to put in my book for my husband so I had to purchase more.
My favorite part: Everything! From the hair and makeup to the posing and outfits. It really is such a fun experience and makes you feel like such a powerful and sexy woman when you are done. No matter what you look like, what you wear, what you don't like about yourself or whatever, Jenn makes you feel at ease with everything and helps guide you to show yourself how truly beautiful you are. You feel like a model for a day and it gives you an amazing confidence boost. This experience really helped me feel confident about myself. I love looking at my pictures and saying "dang is that me?" It will never get old!
When I gave my husband his gift his eyes got huge and he was in shock. Lol he loved his book! I also loved my book and all my photos! They are so good and make you look and feel so sexy! I loved the feeling I got when I started looking at the photos after the shoot. I love how good they turned out and how good I felt about myself. She makes you realize how good you do look, no matter how bad you think you might look. Every woman needs an experience like this for herself, really, and no one else. With the way society makes you think you should look or be, this kind of experience makes you feel confident and sexy being just the way you are, which is beautiful no matter What! My advice; do boudoir, be sexy, be confident, be beautiful, be you and love yourself!"

Maternity Boudoir | Client Review
Ya'll know I love boudoir by now (at least I hope so!) but did you know that maternity & newborn photography was my jam back in the day? So when you put it all together you get... maternity boudoir! I love helping women on their journey; whether it's starting a new chapter with a bridal boudoir session, a special gift for a significant other for Christmas or Valentines... for a birthday or anniversary, or celebrating a 50th birthday boudoir is an amazing way to document your milestones. This truly is a session for YOU (yes, you!) but it's a win-win because you can totally play it off like it's a gift for him (women are crafty creatures, aren't we?).
Before the holidays Staci and I met Morgan, a glowing mama to be. She is an Atlanta blogger and focuses on lifestyle and fashion, how fun! At the time of the shoot she was around 30 weeks pregnant, with the perfect baby bump and glowing (G-L-O-W-I-N-G!) with happiness and positivity. Her shoot was just after the big "Atlanta Snow Storm of 2017" and we still had some snow on the ground at the studio sooooo naturally I offered up an impromptu maternity session to include her hubs in the session. It was nothing short of awesome (well, it was freezing but was still awesome).
Morgan just released a blog about her session with us and talks about her experience from the beginning - I LOVE what she had to say about her experience and hope ya'll will take the time to read it as well! Studio News | Mirrored Images Boudoir
OMG - this news is pretty much my favorite studio news! First, I feel like we've been giving a ton of updates and possibly overloading you with all the exciting things going on in our business & studio so I created a "News" link in our navigation menu where you can find the highlights -- the ones you definitely can't skip reading out. This will be one of those things!
In June of 2017 we decided to open our first studio, it was super scary for me because I am working full time as a nurse still and I have a family so the thought of spending less time with them was terrifying. But, we had a lot of other changes going on in our lives and thankfully my boo thang is in the process of starting his business and had the availability to help with putting the studio together as well as all the necessities at home. As many of you know I previously photographed weddings, engagements, maternity, newborn, and families... but boudoir was my jam -- I would get SO excited when I booked a boudoir but I knew something was holding me back from reaching more women with this experience. So, we took a leap -- it was a leap of faith in every sense of the phrase. We removed all other services to focus only on boudoir and we signed a lease for this space we now call our studio! Thankfully business took off immediately, we added Meghan to the team to cover the social media and PR which has been a huge help -- although I am still getting in trouble for being on my computer or phone at home it is WAY less than it was before.
Update: WE EXPANDED! Yaassssssss! We have just over 2200 sq feet, two bathrooms, a permanent makeup set and MUCH more! EEKKKK!
I did a shoot in this space back in May, prior to moving into our current studio. It has the same windows, walls, and floors as our suite -- but we have some BIG plans for it! Here's a few images of the space from that shoot, while it was rented by the previous tenant (I cannot wait to update pictures and show you how this will look!):

Valentines Day Boudoir Gift | Mirrored Images Boudoir
This Holiday season is almost a wrap (get it?) and we are SO excited to hear what all the guys think of their presents, we already know how our clients feel about them! This was the busiest Holiday season to date. A few of the sessions are on the blog, make sure you check them out! Now, lets talk Valentines Day boudoir... I can't even believe I'm thinking about February already but time is FLYING! We have a few spaces left for Valentines Day sessions, all sessions will need to be scheduled for January to guarantee delivery of products by Valentines Day. We have a few fun boudoir sets in mind for the sessions, to make it even sweeter <3
Our new products for 2018 are amazing, we have textured album covers, large metal wall art, retro 3D viewers (omg yes!) and will be offering boudoir films as well! GAHHH!! Here are a few examples of the album covers.

"It's Amazing." | Boudoir Testimonial
So this little bombshell, snow white looking lady... she chose to to her amazing boudoir session with us after thinking about it for a long time. I think what ultimately pushed her to book was when she visited the studio with some girlfriends. There are SO many reasons girls give themselves to NOT do a boudoir shoot.. but when you come into our gorgeous space and see that we literally have everything you need right there - it takes the stress away! Miss M is a newly wed, she always wanted to do boudoir pic's for her husband before they got married (btw bridal boudoir is amazing but it can be done at any time after the wedding too! "I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do something for not only my husband, but for me as well! I was nervous at first but Jenn pulled me out of my shyness real quick! Laughing and being able to joke around was what made it more comfortable for me. The session was awesome! My photos turned out so good and I couldn’t be happier. I feel more confident about myself now than before i did my shoot and it’s amazing. For anyone thinking about doing a shoot, do it! Don't think, just do it."
