Street School gets a 'thumbs up'
Street school was worth every penny. I had a good time, met great people and learned how to step up my images. Jarrad, you're awesome and special thanks for giving Portraits for Heroes a shout out! Hopefully photographers from the class will sign up to be participating photographers!

Valentines Day Give-away
With Valentines Day just days away, it is time to announce this years Valentines Day Give AWAY!!....
Who: Anyone who is engaged!
What: Enter to win a free wedding package.
What exactly will I get?If you book 'A magic Wand' you will get everything in that package free. If you book 'The Glass Slipper' that's what you'll get! If you book 'The Grand Ball' you will get the mack-daddy package for free!!!! See the web site for a description of what each package includes.
How: Book with Mirrored Images by March 28, 2010 and your name will automatically be entered. Booking requires 50% deposit and a signed contract, deposit will be returned in full if your name is drawn
Drawing will take place April 6th and the winner will be contacted immediately.
The fine print: must receive at least 3 submissions, in the event that less than three couples enter to win the contest will be canceled. If venue is more than 50 miles outside of Greenville County, traveling charges may apply.
May is....
May is the busiest time of year to get married. Every contact I've received in the last 2 months has been in reference to a May wedding! A few questions I have been asked lately:
Do I get to choose which second photographer you have with you? Yes! I can make suggestions on who I think would fit your style and needs the best but of course you get to choose! I work with Clint from C&C Photography and Eric Mack from Eric Mack Photography and you are more then welcome to check out their work and make the decision for yourself!
If my wedding is less then a month away, do I need to pay right away? With your wedding being less then a month away I do suggest that you book and save the date. Remember, I also work full time as a paramedic and I schedule portrait sessions just days or weeks ahead of time. I need to adjust my schedule asap, which isn't a problem.
If another photographer is offering a promotion, will you match it? My prices are generally lower than other local photographers so I take each promotion into consideration.
Does unlimited hours mean just on the wedding date? Yes, I will arrive at your venue or hotel at the time you request and stay until the bride and groom leave. The unlimited hours do not include other sessions.
Can I incorporate a Trash The Dress session into my Bridal Session? Is there a higher charge? Yes and no. Your bridal session is your style, the way you want it. If you want to go all out and make it into a modified TTD that is your decision and I am here to make it happen.
Do you have back up equipment? Yes!
If I donate to Portraits for Heroes will I get a discount off my session? Unfortunately, I can not do that. Portraits for Heroes and Mirrored Images are financially separate.
If I pay in cash do I get a discount? I offer 1% off if you pay in cash and an additional 2% if you pay in full. However, if you pay in full during our first meeting you will receive 5% off.
If my venue changes will you charge more? If you originally had a local wedding and it is now a "destination" wedding, there is a fee. Anything 50 miles outside of Greenville County carries a traveling fee, which is subject to my discretion.

Sponsorships for Portraits for Heroes
Well it turns out that Portraits for Heroes will not qualify as a nonprofit organization. Read over the following preliminary information and contact me with any questions:
- MARKETING GOAL: To secure both corporate and community sponsors to provide both monetary and product sponsorship to ensure adequate funding for event as well as provide prizes for raffles and additional funds for lump sum charitable contribution.
- This is an opportunity to give back to our local heroes and showcase your goods/services
- The public has a positive perception of companies who support the military and their families.
- Looking to obtain a "flagship" sponsor for this event in cooperation with Mirrored Images. Flagship has a higher cost of sponsorship but reaps higher rewards in being presented as main sponsor and co-organizer of event.
- Accepting donations from the public, any donations would be appreciated.
Portraits for Heroes 2010
As promised to those I let down last year, it is time to start planning Portraits for Heroes 2010. For those who are not familiar with this event here is some info:
Event: Portraits for Heroes
What: An event for local military families to get a free mini-portrait session and a free 8x10. But that's not all, families will enjoy a day of family fun with activities ranging from bounce houses, face painting, clowns to live entertainment.
For Who: Military families; active, reserves, deployed, retired and families who no longer have their loved ones.
When: 9/12/2010 *tentative date!*
Location: TBD
Whats Needed: DONATIONS!!! Money makes the world go round and without donations this event will not happen! Aside from cash donations we will also be looking for food, raffle items, gift certificates, entertainment and anything else you're willing to give!
And the BIGGEST mission to accomplish is to create a non-profit organization so all your donations can be claimed and according to the research I have done so far this is an expensive task ranging from $1000-$2000. We obviously don't have that kind of $$ laying around SO if anyone knows a lawyer that may be able to handle this pro bono that would be terrific!
Clint, from C&C Photography, and I will be working tediously to get this event ready in time. We ask for help of all shapes and sizes. For our family members who aren't currently working, we sure can use the help and I have a stack of phone numbers you could call for us! *wink!*
