Greenville Maternity Photographer | Waiting on baby {Jami + Terry}

Terry purchased a gift certificate for Jami's birthday back in February and she was chomping at the bit to be able to use it!  Because I wasn't photographing in March or April we had to wait until May, but the pictures turned out awesome even though we were pushing the envelope on time!  32 weeks pregnant, can you believe it?!  What a beautiful pregnant momma!

Terry's family has land in Inman that we decided to use for the session.  Aside from the 70% humidity, the 40% chance of rain, and the vicious mosquitoes that were attacking me it was the perfect location!  It had a walking path that was covered by bright green tree's, a beautiful pond, and tall grass (which is quickly becoming one of my "must haves" for location scouting).  Across the street there was a train track, and I couldn't resist laying her down on the tracks.  Controversy?  Yes!  But that's what makes the picture's so much different than the rest!

Terry, Jami, Kenzie (and Thailon): thank you for letting me be a part of your lives.  I hope you have an easy delivery and I can't wait to meet that baby boy!

(PS, hair and make up was done by the wonderful Katie Cotton)

Greenville Photographer | {Prom 2011} Dylan + Faith

There's something about young love that is so pure and sweet.  I met Dylan + Faith downtown Greenville at Cleveland Park for their 2011 junior prom portraits.  They are such a sweet couple.  Dylans mom, Lori, did an awesome job raising such a respectful and generous young man.  Dylan and Faith were beautiful to photograph and I hope they had a wonderful junior prom!  I

Greenville Family Photographer | My baby is SEVEN!

One thing I regret the most is NOT having maternity pictures taken when I was pregnant with my son.  There was no particular reason that I didn't have them done, but looking back now I wish I would have.

For the last few years its become a tradition for my son and I to go out on his actual birthday and take his pictures.  About a week ago my son asked for a mo-hawk and I caved.  I think it's adorable :).  So to tie into the "rebel" look he has, we went to find some train tracks and spent some time shooting the beginning of his seventh year.  It's amazing looking back at his previous birthday sessions how much he has changed and grown.  He's a little man, but he'll always be my baby.

Greenville Wedding Photographer | Winter Wedding in Asheville

I shot along with Sarah Rominger Photography for a winter wedding in Asheville, back in January.  Kinsey & Eli had their wedding indoors in downtown Asheville on a very windy day.  They were brave enough to endure the crazy winds, which ended up with some fantastic photo's from Sarah.  Here are a few of my favorites that I shot.  Are you wondering why I'm just now posting these?  The couple got their images months ago, but I just haven't had the chance to edit them for the web site and post them!  So here they are....

Greenville Newborn Photographer | Sweet Baby Ella

I met this adorable little thang a few weeks ago when she was just 1.5 weeks old!  She refused to sleep during the session but cooperated nonetheless!  Babies are like free therapy; they make all your problems disappear and make everything around you happy!  I love babies!  I have baby fever.... I always get baby fever when I photograph a newbie.  It's puppy love!

I've started a new system in regards to displaying sneak peaks and blog posts.  Before I would post them immediately after the session but after a ton of research and testing it out with this session, I've decided to delay the sneak peaks until I've had the opportunity to meet with my clients for their private viewing.  That way they get to see the pictures first, and the amount of excitement and joy in these parents eyes proved that this is a better way to go!

Now for the baby pictures!

Greenville Wedding Photographer | Free Photo Booths!!

I've been hesitant in the past to set up photo booths at wedding receptions because I didn't want it to take away from the couple.  Recently I have had several brides ask if I offered it so when I had the opportunity to test it out and work out all the kinks at the LBD party, I took it.  The photo booth was a ton of fun for both my staff and the guests.  And kinks?  There weren't any kinks!  I used a simple set up that will occupy a small corner in the reception area and it will give your guests the chance to make some fun photos!  Most reception type photos are of guests eating or dancing, but this gives them a chance to goof off and show their personality in front of the camera with my fun props. :)

I am now including the photo booth with ALL my wedding collections, as a special add-on for you and your guests.  Most photographers charge $400-$1000 for this same add-on.  On site printing is available so your guests can bring the memories from the evening home with them!

Greenville Photographer | Little Black Dress {Photo Booth}

Whew!  What a night!  We met a ton of upstate women tonight at the Little Black Dress party, which was hosted by Entercom Upstate at the Children's Museum.  I set up a small photo gallery with canvas wraps and albums, as well as a photo booth which was a big hit!  It was my first photo booth EVER and I am totally doing it again.  It was fun!  Katie also set up a section to show case her awesome make up skills.  It was a ton of fun and I'm very grateful to my amazing friends who once again came through and helped me out!

If you're interested in ordering a print from the photo booth please email me :) shootme@mirroredimages.net

Greenville Photographer | Valentines Day 2011

Valentines Day is fun for me in many ways.  It's an excuse to make sweets with my son, an excuse to play with my macro lens, and it's the end of engagement season which means I get to meet tons of newly engaged couples and hear all about their wedding plans!  I spent today baking cup cakes with my son for his 1st grade class.  I took this opportunity to break out the macro lens and snap a few shots.  Nothing incredible but definitely edible!  <3 <3

Happy Valentines Day to all you love birds!

Greenville Boudoir Photographer | Little Black Dress Party

I'm so excited to announce this!

While I was enjoying sunny Florida I received a phone call from a lovely lady who is an account manager for Entercom Upstate.  B93.7 and Magic 98.9 are putting together an event called "Little Black Dress Party" on March 3, 2011 from 7:30pm-10:30pm  at the Children's Museum of Greenville and she felt I'd be perfect for it!  This is the ultimate girls night out!  There will be cocktails, food, a DJ, live performances from Andy Grammar (if you don't know who he is look for him on YouTube, he's adorable and has a great voice) and multiple vendors offering discounts and give aways!  Tickets are $10 and will be sold in advance and at the door.  They're expecting 300-400 ladies so come on out in your Little Black Dress and be pampered for the night.

I will be offering 15% off of my boudoir sessions and parties.  One lucky lady may  even get a free boudoir session! Katie will be there with me doing hourly mini-make over giveaways!  I will also have a photo booth set up with fun props so you and your ladies can take your memories from this evenings event home with you!

Link to the B93.7 info page to buy your tickets!  There will be a Best of contest for the vendors, so please text 'IMAGE' to 73807 after the event!!!

Greenville Photographer | Wedding Festivals 2011

Today I took part in my first wedding show.  After everything was set up and I stepped back to look at my display it felt perfect.  It was exactly what I envisioned.  My 8 ft tall prints caught the eye of the brides who appreciate my style of shooting.  I met some beautiful ladies who are working very hard at planning their weddings.  Wedding Festivals makes their planning SO much easier!  I believe there were 219 vendors at todays show.  Colleen Wheeler did a fantastic job with the "Wonderland" theme, I loved it!  Its whimsical style went perfectly with my style of shooting.   Congrats to the bride-to-be Erica for winning our door prize!

A few thank you's and shout outs:

Aaron's of Greer - Thank you for the beautiful furniture you leased to me for the day. (Everything but the zebra chairs... I'm in LOVE with those so I had to buy them!)

Fast Signs Greenville - Talk about last minute!  I called on Wednesday and the sign was ready for pick up on Thursday!

All my SUPER friends who endured the pouring rain and hectic set up and tear down.  I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life that support me and my business!

Last but not least thank you to all the brides and guests who stopped at my booth to chat with us about their wedding!

For those who weren't able to make it out to the show today here is what you missed!
